BREAKING NEWS: Red Sox star faces uncertain return after suffering devastating knee injury

The Boson Red Sox are always getting bad news.

Boston had a fantastic start to the 2024 season, winning seven of its first ten games. Although Boston took the world by surprise, things have already begun to shift. Although there is considerable hope with the team and a strong starting rotation, injuries have severely soured the team’s atmosphere.

The Red Sox had a great start to the season, but after star shortstop Trevor Story suffered a shoulder injury that ended his season, they also placed starter Nick Pivetta on the injured list. Not only has star third baseman Rafael Devers been sidelined by injuries, but the injuries keep coming.

Despite being able to return to the field this week, Devers had been fighting with a shoulder issue. However, according to Christopher Smith of MassLive.com, Devers was forced to leave the game on Tuesday due to what seemed to be a knee injury.

“Rafael Devers felt something with his knee playing the field in the seventh inning,” stated Smith. “Red Sox are discussing whether to do imaging.”

Boston cannot afford to lose another big bat in the center of the lineup with Story already out. Despite not being his usual self as of late due to a shoulder injury, Devers remains the team’s finest slugger.

Tyler O’Neill, the outfielder, is also out at the moment but should return this week. The team might be in jeopardy if Devers were to miss a large portion of the season.
